Ahmed Musa Makes History At The 2018 FIFA World Cup

Nigerian Super Eagles forwards Ahmed Musa scored twice against a highly motivated Iceland to secure a 2-0 win for Nigeria.

The calmly converted second goal that saw him dribble past defenders and the goalkeeper before drilling the ball into the top right corner of the net has made him the highest goal scoring Nigerian footballer with four World Cup goals.

He is the first to score in two World Cup outings. The Leicester City forward netted twice against Argentina in the 2014 edition hosted in Brazil  and twice today against World Cup debutants Iceland. He has now scored a total of four (4) World Cup Goals which places him 3rd in Africa only behind Roger Milla who scored five (5) in two World Cup outings and Asamoah Gyan who has six (6) in three World Cup outings.

The other scorers from Nigeria are Daniel Amokachi and Emmanuel Amuneke with two goals apiece.
Nigeria will face Argentina in their Final Group D encounter where a draw with the South Americans will all but ensure their place in the round of 16.
