Gov. Nyesom E. Wike Commissioned 34 Landmark Projects in Rivers State To Mark His 3rd year in Office


His Excellency, the executive governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike is leaving his footprints of excellence in different sectors of the state.

As part of activities to mark his 3years in office, he unveiled a list of 34 projects initiated and completed by his administration as well as those abandoned by the the precious administrations which he completed.

The deputy senate president, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu, Senate Minority Leader and former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Sen. Godswill Apkabio, the executive governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose and former Military Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar were in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on the on different dates from 29th of May to 2nd of June 2018 to Commission different projects across the state.

Gen. Abubakar on 1st of June commissioned the Garrison-Trans-Amadi-Slaughter-Woji-Elelenwo Road.

The road is one among the 32 projects slated for commisioning to mark the 3rd anniversary of Governor Wike in office.

The 8.4km dual-carriageway way which traverses two Local Government Areas has six bridges, walkways, gardens and seven exquisitely designed roundabouts. The project was insisted in 2009 but abandoned by the past administration before the Wike administration injected N17 billion into the project and completed it.
