Kidnapped Delta Monarch Freed By Abductors

The traditional ruler of  Ọgọdọ in Aniocha North L.G.A, Delta State, HRM Obi Sunday Olisewokwu has been freed.

He regained freedom on Tuesday evening around Asaba and was immediately admitted in a hospital for check up. Sources have not revealed if ransom was paid for his release since it was revealed in the news that the kidnappers demanded N15m as ransom.

Recall that in January 2016 the monarch of Ubulu-Uku kingdom in Aniocha South L.G.A. was kidnapped and gruesomely murdered by suspected Fulani herdsmen. Residents in Aniocha North L.G.A have continued to lament the activities of herdsmen in the area as villagers fear going to their farms.
