The Second Niger Bridge and Conferment of Posthumous GCFR on M.K.O.: Why S/East and S/West Should Not Fall For The Politricks of President Muhammadu Buhari

After the flamboyant show at Eko Atlantic, Lagos and the fire brigade approach to continue work at the second Niger Bridge, the APC led government will think they are doing enough to convince Nigerians, but the reality stares us all in the face daily.

It is sad that while the minimum wage remains stagnated, prices of commodities have sky rocketed in the past 3years. The government still expects to have massive followership and applause while it goes ahead to heap blames on the previous administration.

Also, after the human rights abuses in the South East and other parts of the country, continuous loss of lives and properties in the North and the entire country, failure of to constitute a cabinet for over six months thereby crashing the economy, the lopsided corruption fight and nepotic approach to appointments in the nation's security apparatuses, the president still expects to garner support by political gimmicks.

Nigerians are wiser now Sir. We are already expecting more tricks from President Buhari in his futile attempt to appease both the living and the dead.

The entire people of the south east and the so called South/South States (only God understands the geographical meaning of South/South) are as expectant as a pregnant woman.
The APC led government may soon declare Nnamdi Azikiwe Day, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Unity Prize, Obafemi Awolowo Tertiary Education Scholarship, Isaac Adaka Boro National Award or Maj. Kaduna Nzeogwu Award in honour of brave military officers etc but some things will never change. All these will only favour the dead and not the living.
None of these moves will grow the economy or bring back the innocent lives lost in the past 3years due to lack of political will and policies to ensure adequate security of lives and properties in Nigeria.

The so much noise about Agricultural boom should be mellowed until we see pyramids and silos of storage or improved livelihood of Nigerians.

After the investment and claims of improvement in the power sector, I'm compelled to ask you Mr. President, just as you asked the former president Olusegun Obasanjo, "where is the power?"
"Oh! cut him a slack. He can't do everything in 3years," they will excuse.
So, I ask, what have you President Buhari done since 2015?
Which projects did you initiate or complete?

Nigerian are tired and we must do the needful while we still have the time.
Restructure Nigeria and let's move on from there. Please, implement the recommendations of the national confab.

It is obvious that this old structure is a colossal waste. We cannot continue to sponsor a bicameral legislature and expensive presidential system of government while the masses are dying in abject poverty.

Fellow Nigerians getting a PVC will not save Nigeria from the old structure. God bless Nigeria.
