Igbo Student Emerges ABUAD Best Graduating Student, Gets SUV Gift Worth N7.3m.



Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria has graduated her first set of Medical Students. The Medical Students numbering 43 were described by the Vice Chancellor as exceptional students.
The School is holding a ceremony to Mark her 6th convocation.
According to the Vice Chancellor Prof. M.O Ajisafe, eight (8) of the 43 Medical Students finished with an equivalent of distinction.
Also, the best graduating student Ms. Esther Adaobi was presented with an SUV worth N7.3m and other juicy packages.

The institution awarded honorary Doctorate Degrees to the CEO of Channels TV, Mr. John Momoh and former minister of Agriculture Mr. Akinwumi Adesina.
The media guru promised to establish a Channels Academy in the School.

The Chancellor of the School Afe Babalola (SAN, CON) reiterated that the school was established 9yrs. ago to reshape the destinies of tertiary education in Nigeria.

"I am very happy that we are the first Federal University in Nigeria. That is why NUC described us as the pride of University education in Nigeria." He said.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria and philanthropist, Afe Babalola, established the School in 2009.
Afe Babalola University offers academic programmes in six Colleges: Sciences, Law, Engineering, Social and Management Sciences, Medicine and Health Sciences, and Postgraduate Studies and presently has a population of 6,850 students.
