Is Ogbego FC Fading From The Map Of Ubulu-Uku Football?

For the older generational who saw the Jet Bombers FC and Surprisers FC, the Ogbego players need no Introduction in the Ubulu-Uku football fraternity.
Although, they started playing as a joint team with Udo FC as Udo/Ụnọ-ọgwụ FC and famously lifted the league in 1987 with Fabulous Idegwu (a.k.a Nwa ite) and Onwochei (a.k.a Ọbụbụtana) featuring for them at Centre half and right back respectively, the new generation of Ogbego FC players have enjoyed a measure of success in the league.

In recent memory, the team which sometimes merges players from Idumubo FC, went ahead to finish second in the competition in 2014, narrowly losing out to Agbonta FC in a nerve wrecking penalty shootout. In that year, Ógbè team featured four (4) siblings of the Obokoh family in one match to break the records held by the families of Agwor (Udo FC), Okwuokei (Akwụ FC), Emordi (Agbonta FC) and Utulu (Ogbego FC) who have had two or three of their family members playing in one match.

Remarkably, the team plays a unique and beautiful passing game that only be compared to Ugbaa FC or Abuedo FC.
The team coached by Delta State football legend and veteran coach attached with Basalt Football Academy Mr. Onwochei Ọbụbụtana was later managed and captained by Okelue, another retired Player who played the round leather game outside the shores of Nigeria.
