Messi Trails Ronaldo By 11 Goals As The Portuguese Legend Reaches Another Milestone.

Juventus superstar and Portuguese football legend Christiano Ronaldo has set another record and written his name into the history books yet again after opening the Scored the opener in Saturday's 1-1 home draw against against Genoa.

The 33-year-old tapped in from close range after great work from fellow summer signing Joao Cancelo.

This means that, Ronaldo has become the first footballer in the history of the game to score 400 goals in Europe's top five leagues.

Considering his level of fitness and form, the Portuguese could reach 500 mark sooner than expected.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi  Ronaldo is just behind by 11, but the Argentine boasts of a better goal scoring ratio.

It is likely that both superstars will surely break the 500 mark in the end of their careers.

Other players in the line who are no longer who have retired are: Tottenham legend Jimmy Greaves on 366, while Bayern Munich icon Gerd Muller is one behind on 365.

However, the fact Ronaldo and Messi are hitting these heights in the modern day is a testament to their greatness.

Genoa's on-song forward Krzysztof Piatek opined before the game that he believes Ronaldo is the greatest player of all time.
"Ronaldo? For me, he is the best player in the world right now. I would even say that he is the best player in the history of the game." He said.
