The cancelled PDP Aniocha/Oshimili House of Reps Primaries And The Drama of Rerun.

It is no longer news that the PDP Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency House of Reps primaries which held on October 3, has been nullified by the appeal panel of the party.
The panel reportedly cancelled the results from the previous election due to irregularities and violence that saw the announcement of the results at the police headquarters Asaba.
The appeal panel submitted its resolution to the party leadership.
The Delta State PDP chairman Barr. Kingsley Esiso instructed that a fresh election be conducted today October 5, 2018.

"Please be informed that the Aniocha/ Oshimili House of representative primaries will be re conducted tomorrow, 5/10/18. at the Cenotaph. Time 10a.m" Chairman.

The above text message was sent to all the aspirants.
Today at the venue of the election which was later held at Event Centre due to Teacher's Day celebration at the Cenotaph, Hon Joan Onyemaechi Mrakpor and another aspirant Hon. Ike Onwuaduegbo arrived early at the venue.
However, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu who was controversially declared winner of the annulled primaries of October 3 and Hon. Peter Onwusanya failed to show up at the venue.
It is not clear why the other aspirants failed to show up for the much talked about Re-run.
The PDP excos who took a headcount of delegates reported that 401 delegates attended today's primaries which didn't hold as INEC observers also failed to show up.
With the October 7 deadline for submission of candidate's list by political parties already 2days away, feelers are that the PDP could give the incumbent a ticket to return unopposed.
Meanwhile, the two candidates present at the venue granted interview to the pressmen present.
Award winning Channels TV who broadcasted the October 3 one Live, NTA, Arise Africa Media and other media outlets covered the event.
All is now left for the party to decide who it will present its ticket to contest in the general elections.
