PMB And Ogwashi-Uku Dam: The Project Was 90% Completed In 2015_ Hon. Pascal Adigwe.

Following the the inclusion of Ogwashi-Uku Dam as one of the projects completed by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration, a former Reps member who stated the the project was his flagship project as a lawmaker insisted that the Dam was almost 90% completed before former President Goodluck Jonathan left office in 2015.
He also highlighted the involvement of former Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in the project.
In his words,
"This Ogwashi dam began in my time in the national assembly.
I fought tooth and nail to attract it using my friend Hon Duro Faseyi who's now a Senator. He was house committee Chairman on water resources. And leveraging on contacts my uncle gave me having served as permanent secretary in federal  ministry of water resources.
I can state categorically that the dam was well built and was almost 90% completed before Jonathan left office. Our sister helped to add enough money in the appropriation to see it through." the former lawmaker said.
However, he decried that the project has been abandoned until his recent involvement.
The Ogwashi-Uku born PDP statesman listed some aspects of the project that must be completed before it can be termed 100% complete.

1. Completion of the turbine, which according to them has been done.
2. Access road to the Dam.
3. Water supply from the dam to the town for use.

He suggested the way forward
"Maybe be I should renew the bid with more intense vigour and pray it yields result," he concluded.

On the other hand, residents of the community have kicked against the announcement by the President.
Various posts and articles on social media have been issued to debunk the claims or President Buhari that the project is completed.
