The link road between Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area and Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State has continued to gain media attention following its deplorable state.

As residents in Ubulu-Uku rejoice over the commencement of key road construction projects in the community, others are pleading with the State Governor His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and the Honourable Member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Hon. Joan Onyemaechi Mrakpor to come to the rescue of Ubulu-Uku/Onicha-Ugbo road which is now cut of due to gully erosion.

Responding to a comment on Social media Hon. Mrakpor hinted that she chose not to involve in the project to protect her integrity after rumours started circulating that the project was awarded in her time at the State Assembly but not executed.

I don’t know whether I want to open up the issue of that road. You know in Ubulu-Uku there are two categories of people, those like you who love the community in all sincerity and those who love her on social media. Unfortunately the later who continually builds castles in the air, says that while I was in the state assembly that money was budgeted for the road and that it disappeared, since all i have in politics and I have benefited greatly from is my INTERGRITY, I will wait for those who have this tale to finish their investigation lest they say I stepped in to cover Fraud.
Hon. Mrakpor.

Meanwhile, News from some quarters claim that the road is currently being looked into by the Delta State government in conjunction with NEWMAP, a World Bank special intervention fund.
