Pastor Dan Utomi

We must learn to thank God no matter what happen, as all we know is what happened but only God knows what could have happened.

He went on to advise anyone who is yet to give his/her life to Christ to do so as no one knows his/her time of death.

Until his sudden departure, the former Commissioner was one of the political leaders of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in his hometown Ubulu-Uku and a member of OKOWA SQUAD, a political movement convened by Hon. Mrs. Joan Onyemaechi Mrakpor to canvass for the second term bid of Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa.

Chief Utomi served for one term beginning from 1999, as the first Council Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government in the present political dispensation before serving in other capacities as a member of board at Delta State Building Society.
In 2018, he was appointed as replacement for Hon. Austin Chikezie who resigned as Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources to contest for a seat at the Delta State House of Assembly. Thus, Utomi became the first Ubulu-Uku person to hold the post of Commissioner.

Earlier on, the Excos of Aniocha South Local Government Council visited to condole with the family while the Delta State Executive Council members were at Ubulu-Uku yesterday to commiserate with the family.

The grassroot political mobilizer will not only be missed by his immediate family but the entire Ubulu-Uku community and the political circus to which he belonged.
Chief Utomi is survived by his wife, four children, mother and siblings.
